Add parameters to URL redirect from form fields
Using the gravityforms add-on, I pass a hidden ID (that corresponds to the filename of a PDF that I redirect the user to after signature is completed).
It would be nice to append the gravityform field onto the URL redirect, such as...
http://bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/[esiggravityformid=1field_id=8].pdf
The purpose behind this is that I have hundreds of forms that I need people to sign before they can access them. Instead of creating hundreds of stand-alone wp e-signature forms, I made just one that passes along an id in the URL parameters.
It'd be nice to pass that ID to the URL redirect.
16 votesThanks Chris… we’re heavily considering and preparing our 2.0 with a user friendly API in mind. While I don’t yet have a release date it’s looking more and more like we’ll be able to start beta for the first phase of 2.0 sometime shortly after the holidays. The API will likely follow after the 2.0 release.

Internal File Name
Can you allow a document to have both a "title" which is displayed to the signer and a "internal file name" that signers do not see but is shown in the admin interface? I would like to be able to add version info to the internal file name (ex. NDA Contract Version 2.2) without it being shown in the document title (ex. Non-Disclosure Agreement). Another way to accomplish this would be to provide a "version" field for each document.

Insightly integration
Insightly is a widely used CRM with a well documented API. Being able to send documents from Insightly and then have a field in Insightly completed when the form is signed would be awesome.

Document Styles
As it currently stands we're very limited in how we can style our Documents.
In order to add extra spacing we have to hit return multiple times, which in turn, generates a bunch of blank <p></p> tags. This is not great.
We also have no way to adjust the styles (size/color/padding etc.) of any of the default h1 - h6 tags. For example, I'm using h2 tags in my Document and come to find out those tags are way to big in comparison to the Document Title; which btw is using <p class="doc_title" instead of a more appropriate h1 tag.…
25 votesI agree with you guys 100%. We actually have already started rolling out a 3 phase project that will eventually introduce more document styliing options when creating a document using the plain text method.
We’re currently on the first phase (which is PDF upload Drag & Drop) once this is released and ready we’ll be adding some serious improvements to the plain text document creation process.
Thanks for the great feedback!
Kind Regards,

Styling
Some simple styling options would be fantastic. For example, the ability for a user to assign a class or id to a created field would be great. My form I needed to create is large and complicated with LOTS of input fields. In order for it to look even remotely structured I had to add a lot of html into the page manually and then add CSS into the plugins asset files.
Pretty complicated for just wanting my form layout to look nice.

Frontend for WP ESign
Frontend screens to create documents and send, so that users do not need admin rights or access to wp-admin.
18 votesThanks for using our app!
We haven’t added Front-end dashboard into WP E-Signature yet. But I think that’s an awesome idea! In fact, we loved the idea so much we began working on it about 6 months ago. I don’t have an ETA from the team behind it yet but from their last update, I’d say we’re close to launching it. We hope to make more announcements about this in the coming months.
Kind Regards,
Kevin at ApproveMe

Retrieve Info from WP User File
Use MergeTags similar to Gravity Forms to pull info from a Users Wordpress Account.
View Details below for our use.
Use: New Hire Forms
Example:
Name: {user:display_name}
Job Title: {user:title}and so on.
Using the Meta data from a users profile allows for forms to be sent to the user for signature without requiring input from a document creator first.
Right now you have to make a blank fillable form and have your HR staff fill it out, sign it, and then the second signature be the new hire.
This will allow those fields to be pulled from their WP…

It would be great to just upload your own Word Doc or PDF
It would be great to just upload your own Word Doc or PDF to be signed and not have to use Gravity Forms or a template each time
20 votesWe have indeed been working on 2.0 for a while. We were initially planning on releasing it 100% as a fully WordPress ran application… and got very very close to doing so; however, similar to the PCI compliance industry (i.e. the industry that regulates accepting credit cards online) there’s been an uprising of laws and regulations in the document signing industry.
So while we are very close to having 2.0 release ready we’re in the process of having to re-architect the API and set it up to run a portion of the application in our cloud while still maintaining the overall customer experience so everything still feels seamless and like it’s all taking place on YOUR site. As such there’s still some backend changes that we are quickly working to mitigate.
The good news is the team is continuing to develop the final screens that remained however, it will realistically…

Deal Package for Multiple Documents
It would be nice to have a "package" for multiple documents required like a check of list for a complete transaction that requires more than one document.
also it would be great to invite humans that need to see the documents but not necessarily need to sign anything.
21 votesI like this idea… we’ll need to think through how this could work from a backend perspective.

Multiple File Uploads From a Single File Upload Field
Please consider adding the ability for a Signer to upload multiple files from a single file upload field. We are using a stand alone document as an application and the number of files to be uploaded by each user varies widely depending upon what segment of service they are applying for.
10 votesThis is a great idea. I’ll be sure to share it with the development team and see what we can do.

Internal scroll bar
It would be great if the document editing area had an internal scroll bar like a regular WP page with the editing toolbar fixed at the top. My company has very long documents with a lot of input fields and it's bothersome to scroll all the way up from the bottom of a long doc to hit the input field button, and then find your place again.

Conditional logic
Hi there. Do you have any plans to introduce conditional logic (Gravity Forms style) for content blocks in a document template? This would be a killer feature in my view. Perhaps you could even integrate Gravity Forms and approveme in some way, perhaps through a Zapier integration?

KBA / Security
Offering or having this available would spike my interest in your product. I am a tax office having many people out of state that have to sign form 8879. To use e-signature requires having Knowledge Base Authentication, IRS rules.

Add template fields for outgoing Basic documents
Similar to "signer fields" via the add-on, it would be great to specify fields that you could customize per Basic document you send out.
For example, your contract template looks like:
"Hi, %name%
By signing this document, you agree to an initial payment of %field1% and thereafter a monthly payment of %field2% with a payment date on the %field3% day of the month.
..."The %fieldx% placeholders could appear in multiple different places within the template, some of them several times each.
Then when you send the document to be signed, the fields that appear in the template would appear…
