Add template fields for outgoing Basic documents
Similar to "signer fields" via the add-on, it would be great to specify fields that you could customize per Basic document you send out.
For example, your contract template looks like:
"Hi, %name%
By signing this document, you agree to an initial payment of %field1% and thereafter a monthly payment of %field2% with a payment date on the %field3% day of the month.
..."
The %fieldx% placeholders could appear in multiple different places within the template, some of them several times each.
Then when you send the document to be signed, the fields that appear in the template would appear as text fields that you could fill out at the same time you are filling in the signer's name and email address.
This way you can specify different values for each individual signer without having to hunt through the template and manually replace the %field1% placeholder values for each recipient.
We will be adding this feature to our 2.0 product. The screens are almost all finished and now we are focusing/finalizing the architecture of our API and new backend.

This is exactly what I'm trying to do using a template with input fields, but I don't want to 'send' the contract prior to me customizing. Did this get added? Thanks!

Fantastic add on and what I was just going to propose. This was a key feature of AdobeSign which we are moving away from. Glad to know it is in the works.
